Battle Books

Battle Books are fast, head-to-head tabletop combat games played entirely with books, dice, and imagination. Each player chooses a Battle Book — a themed collection of unique attacks — and faces off against their opponents in a cinematic showdown. Every page in a Battle Book is a single attack. There’s no board, no minis, and no long setup; choose your book, roll the dice, and partake as fantasy combat comes to life between you and your friends.

Each Battle Book has it's own identity and contains 20 powerful attacks for you to conjure and unleash on your foes, along with a unique power-up that goes into effect when below half-health.

All players start with the same amount of health. At the top of each turn, everyone rolls their D20 (twenty-sided die) to determine what order they'll attack in, and what page from their Battle Book they'll attempt to cast from. Attempt to deal damage to other players based on your pages instructions. Successfully attacked players will have a chance to defend what little health they have. The goal is simple: reduce your opponent’s health to zero before they do the same to you. Quick to learn, tense to play, and endlessly replayable; Battle Books brings fantasy combat to life in chaotic duels, free-for-alls, or team matches.
